Approved minutes of Finance, Legal, Health & Safety Committee Meeting held Tues Oct 26th 2021 via Zoom

2 Acceptance of apologies.

3 Public Participation.

Members of the public are invited to address Council for a maximum of 15 minutes.

4 Declarations of interest.

Members should consider whether they should partake in any discussion or vote on matters on the agenda unless they have a dispensation: None

5 To accept and confirm minutes of the last Committee meeting on Tuesday 20th July.

Confirmed & accepted.

6 Finance.

Current financial position as at Tues 26th Oct 2021

Nat West Current Account £905.00. Nat West Business Reserve £53,315.54

Nat West Liquidity Account (ring fenced funds) £162,379,57. Unity Account £138,013.79

Transactions to date were shared.

The Clerk confirmed that a CIL payment of £16,827.79 had been received. There is already £6,345.98 of funding held from April 2021. RECOMMENDATION: The Committee recommend that funds be spent on recreation/play equipment across the Wards.

7 Review revised Grant Policy & application form with recommendations.

Recommendation: Approval & adoption of revised Community Grant Policy.

Recommendation: Approval & adoption of revised Community Grant application form.

8 Consider quote for repair to Calder Crossing: £2812.00 from George Sey.

Recommendation to Council. Fully approved.

9 Consider request from Stonnall for large Christmas tree & additional lights.

The Committee would like more information: how big is the planned tree?

Where is it going to be located? If in the same place as last year, permission may be needed from Staffs Highways. What insurance provision is there?

10 A.O.B

Cllr Hancocks raised the subject of Wi-Fi for the Village Hall in Shenstone.

The Clerk will contact Boldmere Computers for advice.

Cllr Hancocks also mentioned a Councillor led grant application which she is considering assisting the library: no further action at this stage.

The Christmas Market in Shenstone on Dec 4th requires a music licence costing £119.90. Recommendation: Council pay for the licence, but the cost is added to the £1300 already given and retained from profits for a start-up fund next year. If no Market next year, all funds returned to Council.
