Lincoln Croft Jubilee Street Party

Shenstone’s Lincoln Croft is set to get into Platinum Jubilee mood on Sunday June 5th with a ‘one to remember’ street party.

An organising group from the Croft is set to splash the red white and blue colours with lamp post bows and bunting thanks to a Parish Council grant.

Homeowners are being encouraged to get into the Platinum Jubilee spirit by dressing their houses in the Royal colours, as well as going al fresco on their driveways with a road closure to ensure safety.

Afternoon events will culminate with a bubbly toast to the Queen plus the Croft’s own version of Land of Hope and Glory followed by a giant conger dance. Special cakes from a village baker will also mark the occasion.

Time table is:

Road closed to all traffic from both entrances from 2pm to 6pm
Party gets underway at 3pm
Children’s activities and music throughout afternoon
5pm all congregate in cul-de-sac for Royal toast and themed goodies
Lincoln Croft Proms
Platinum Jubilee Conger around the Croft
