It may contain a vision, aims, planning policies, proposals for improving the area or providing new facilities, or allocation of key sites for specific kinds of development.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i><b>Neighbourhood plans relate to the use and development of land and associated social, economic and environmental issues. It may deal with a wide range of issues like housing, employment, heritage and transport. A Neighbourhood Plan will be subject to examination and referendum and then form part of the Local Development Plan. This statutory status gives Neighbourhood Plans far more weight than some other local planning documents, such as parish plans, community plans and village design statements.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>GIVEN THE ADDITIONAL PRESSURES THAT LOCAL AUTHORITIES ARE NOW UNDER FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO ALLOW LAND FOR DEVELOPMENT, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER THAT STONNALL HAS AN UP TO DATE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN TO GIVE SOME PROTECTION TO THE VILLAGE FROM A PLANNING PERSPECTIVE.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>-Held a Public Open meeting in The Village Hall 11<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><sup><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>th<\/b><\/span><\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b> September 2024 (attendance c120 residents plus streamed live on TEAMS and Video)<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-Two Village Surveys hand delivered in December 2024 to all households<\/span>:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0070c0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i><b>1)Housing Needs Survey received a magnificent 166 public responses<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0070c0;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i><b>2)Community Survey received a record 181 public responses<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>-A Village open day was held on 21<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><sup><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>st<\/b><\/span><\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b> January 2025 when 121 residents attended the Community Centre and commented upon the proposed revisions to the plan and also whether they felt the above survey results reflected their views. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>-Social Media has been extensively used to advertise all meetings and events<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3a4f5e;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>-Posters advertising all meetings and giving information have regularly been placed in Stonnall Shops, both Pubs, The Community Centre, The Village Hall, on Telegraph Posts, Notice Boards throughout the Village area. <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>IT IS RECOGNISED TO BE A VITAL DEMOCRATIC RIGHT THAT ALL RESIDENTS ARE MADE AWARE OF MATTERS POTENTIALLY AFFECTING STONNALL AND HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR OPINIONS.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the last 12 months or so, a large group of Stonnall Residents have worked together with our local Councillors and a Specialist Consultant, authorised by The Parish Council, to re-fresh Stonnall\u2019s current Neighbourhood Plan.
