Mary Jones, the organiser said:
“To celebrate this special occasion we provided free tea, coffee and soft drinks, plus a selection of home made cakes, to help our village community mark the event together. It was a tremendous success, enjoyed by all who attended. We served just under 200 customers in two hours.

In addition, eight homebound residents who were unable to get to the event, each received a goody bag containing a celebration tin of shortbread biscuits, two slices of Victoria Sponge cake, a small union flag and union jack napkins.”

“A massive thank you goes to Brenda, Ginny, Shirley, Jenny, Gillian, Val, Lesley, Val, Hilary, Pete, Keith and Phil for their help and support. Plus of course to Shenstone Parish Council for their generous funding of the event and goody bags”
