Approved minutes of the Finance, Legal, Health & Safety Committee Meeting Tuesday 25th Jan 2022 at 5.30 pm at Shenstone Community Library.

1 Register of Members in attendance.

Cllrs Sheila Beilby, David Salter, Rita Hancocks, Gail Nicholls, Nicola Macdonald & Stuart Jones.

2 Acceptance of apologies. None

3 Public Participation.

Members of the public are invited to address Council for a maximum of 15 minutes. None

4 Declarations of interest.

Members should consider whether they should partake in any discussion or vote on matters on the agenda unless they have a dispensation: All covered by existing dispensations.

5 To accept and confirm minutes of the last Full Council meeting on Tuesday 26th Oct 2021.

6 Finance.

Current financial position as of Tuesday 25th Jan 2022:

Unity Account £71,006.65. Nat West Current Account £905.00

Nat West Business Reserve £53,316.88. Nat West Liquidity Account earmarked funds £162,400.04

Transactions for approval. All transactions to date were shared. Latest VAT refund just processed for £8788.85.

£30,000 transfer from Liquidity account to Unity account requested to cover professional fees associated with ear marked projects- will be through within 30 days. Income from the cemetery currently quite high.

7 Consider Community Grant applications and make recommendations.

8 Update on CIL expenditure re playing fields

Of the £8,000 allotted to each Ward for playground equipment, Little Aston & Stonnall have placed orders with Shenstone pending. Playdale to visit for site inspection next week.

9 AOB.

Cllr Jones briefed the Committee on an item he is considering raising at Full Council which relates to potentially offering for sale an area of the Lammas Land which is not able to be used due to the wetness of the ground.

The Committee requested that more information including maps be shared at Full Council for consideration.

Cllr Macdonald put forward a Councillor led grant request for a second defibrillator in Stonnall. After detailed discussion on its importance & need, the committee made a recommendation to support the request.

RECOMMENDATION: Full Council to purchase the defibrillator in full.
