Future Events Diary

March 2019
Fri 22nd – Following the very successful Film Night last month, there will be one each month in the centre. Film nights begin at 7.30 pm, tea,coffee and biscuits are free, and there is no admission charge, so again, donations are welcome.
Sat 23rd –   In the church, there will be coffee, tea, and a selection of delicious cakes in aid of the Churchyard Fund.  This is another venture which welcomes the support of as many people as possible to keep the churchyard in good shape
Sat 23rd –  The Stonnall History Group meet at the Centre at 3.0 pm. A slideshow entitled “100 years in Stonnall” will be shown during the event. Tea, coffee and other refreshments will be served at 4.30 pm. Admission is free. Donations towards our annual website costs are welcome at this time of year.
Wed 27th – Following all the usual activities, the Conservation Society has a meeting in the Centre at 7.30 pm.  In addition to the AGM, Pamela Sutton will be presenting a talk entitled, ‘Troopaid’.  If you wish to know just what that is all about, come along to the Centre at 7.30 pm.  There is a small charge but everyone is welcome, whether a member or not.
Friday 29th – SCAR has a Steering Group meeting in the Centre at 7.30.

Friday & Saturday 29th and 30th March – Stonnall Players, it may have been noticed, have not held their usual pantomime this year, but no worries, on 29th and 30th March, we are being treated to an evening entitled, ‘Comedy Tonight’, which features the romantic \adventures of Don Quixote in ’A Knight to Remember’, by Geoff Bamber, preceded and followed by comedy and music from the players.  Tickets cost £7.00 for adults and £3.00 for children or £18.00 for two adults and up to three children  The show begins at 7.30, with the licensed bar open from 7.00 pm.  To order your tickets please call or text 07516 274765 or mailto:stonnallplayers@gmail.com.  

There has been a small number of incidents in the village recently and our Police Team  is trying to show its presence and be there to help people  whenever help is needed.  If you need to speak  to one of our PCSOs, the next opportunity will be Wednesday morning at the Coffee Club, 10.30 until 11.30 on 27th April.  If you are unable to attend, then email: andreahorsnall@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk .

Fri 5th –
Friends of St Peter’s Church are hosting their usual concert evening, in church, beginning at 7.30 pm. This time, Pelsall Ladies’ Choir is providing the annual concert for the FOSP.  These concerts have been very successful each year, with a whole variety of choirs and this one promises to be just as good.  Tickets are on sale now from Peter Richardson, 374541 and other members of FOSP (Friends of St Peter’s ).
Thur 11th – The Village Hall Annual General Meeting  will be held in the village hall at 8.0 pm. Light refreshments will be available after the meeting. All welcome. Please review the constitution amendments schedule.
