Future Events Diary

June 2019
Saturday 15th – It is the ‘Friends’ Annual Day, in St Peter’s Church from 3.00 pm. There is a short service, led by Vicar Liz, a talk by Peter Terry, and to follow, a Strawberry Tea.  All are welcome and there is just a small charge for the tea.
Wednesday 19th – The Playing Field Committee meets in the Centre at 7.30 pm
Saturday 22nd –  It’s is ‘Messy Church’ in St Peter’s, from 2.00 until 4.00 pm.
Tuesday 25th – The Neighbourhood Plan and Property Committee of the Parish Council, will hold the meeting announced previously, at Lichfield District Council Offices, where it will be followed at 7.00 pm by the Parish Forum.  All Councillors are welcome to attend.
Wednesday 26th – There is the meeting of the Conservation Society at 7.30 in the Centre, when the talk, given by Nick Martin, will be, ‘A Photographer’s Wildlife Britain’, the talk on Wildlife Birds, announced previously, has unfortunately had to be changed.
Friday 28th – The Community Cinema Club meets again in the Centre, 7.00 for 7.30 pm.
Saturday 29th – Sunday 30th – Shenstone Village Festival takes place from 10.0 am to 5.0 pm on both days. Morning Service will be a joint one at Trinity Methodist Church, in the open air, at 10.30 am, while there is also an end-of-festival Service, at 6.30 in St John’s Church.

July 2019
Saturday 6th – An event at ‘Creative Plants’, Shenstone Woodend, from 11.30 am until 2.00 pm.  The event will be attended by local Police Community Support Officers, to raise awareness of who they are and how they can help the local community.  The event takes place in the newly opened Coffee Shop, ‘Cafe Prego’.  Later in the month there is another event, when Creative Plants hands over an electric bike they are giving to the local police to help them travel between the wards.  More of this later. 
Saturday 6th – Stonnall Singers will be presenting their Summer concert, ‘A Serenade to a Beautiful Day’, in St Peter’s Church at 7.30 pm on. Tickets are £7.00 and may be purchased on the door.


Finally, an advance notice that The Mint Theatre will once more be performing in Stonnall Village Hall, on Friday 19th July.  The play is entitled, ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’, tickets cost £8.00 and are available by calling, 07715 578923 or emailing:ticketsthemint@hotmail.com and doors open at 7.00 for 7.30 start.
