Future Events Diary

November 2019
The Mobile Library only makes one stop in Stonnall now, outside the Swan Public House, on the lay-by.  The dates for November are 5th and 19th, from 9.30 until 10.00 am.

Fri 22nd – The Film Club meeting this month seems earlier than usual, but is still the fourth Friday of the month.  I am unable to advertise the name of the film but it is described as, ‘A gripping, acclaimed thriller that tells the incredible true story of unsung war hero Alan Turing, the British mathematician responsible for cracking the German Enigma code during World War 11’.
Sat 23rd – There is to be a Bring and Buy Coffee Morning at 1,Lazy Hill, the home of Church Wardens Patsy and Peter Toulouse.  This replaces the usual monthly Coffee Morning in Church.
Wed 27th – the Conservation Society is holding an evening of entertainment with Cherrywood for the Social Evening, before finishing for this year.  Everyone is welcome on payment of the usual attendance fee.
Fri 29th – In the Village Hall at 7.00 pm there is a Beetle Drive plus  arranged by Friends of St Peter’s Church. Tickets are available now at £8.00, which includes a Fish and Chip Supper.   There will, of course, be a Raffle ( when have you been to any event in Stonnall without a Raffle?) and people are asked to bring their own drinks.  Tickets may be obtained from Ann, 377565, Peter, 374541 or members of the Committee.
Fri 29th – At Shenstone Village Hall, the Mint Theatre is presenting, ‘The Christmas Elves’ by Mark Whiteley, with additional material by Liz Daly.
Sat 30th – The Mint Theatre is also presenting is ‘The Christmas Elves’ in Stonnall Village Hall. There will be a performance at 3.30 pm and also at 7.30 pm. For all performances the tickets are £8.50 for adults and £7.50 for those under 16 years.  To book, call or text 07783 823390 or email ticketsthemint@hotmail.com .

Now for a very brief look forward to some of those Christmas events:
Sat 7th – ‘Ring, Silver Bells’, is the name of Stonnall Singers’ Concert at 7.30 in St Peter’s Church.  Tickets cost £7.00, which includes refreshments.
Sun 8th – The Christingle Service will be in St Peter’s at 4.00 pm.  

Wed 11th –  Coffee Club Christmas Lunch
Mon 16th – Annual Stonnall Village Nativity Pageant, outside the Village Hall meet at 6.00 pm for a start at 6.30.
