St Peter's Stonnall is a very friendly church and we enjoy welcoming new people of all ages. Our church building is on Church Road, at the top of a hill just south of the village. Most members are very actively involved in many Stonnall village activities and organisations. We are also pleased with our active partnership with our local Stonnall C of E Primary school (St Peter's). Stonnall won Staffordshire Village of the Year in 2008 for its quality of community life.
We hold services every Sunday at St Peter's church for adults and children. The special children's activities are at 9.30am each Sunday in termtime, with the main service for adults following at 10h45. We hold special evening services from time to time, such as Ash Wednesday and Lessons and Carols.
Church members run a busy and varied programme of enjoyable social events throughout the year.
A home group meets on Sunday evenings for those wishing to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith in a friendly, comfortable setting. The group meet about once every three weeks.
A new Friends of St Peter's Stonnall group has been established, which is open to all. English Heritage have given our modest church building Grade II listed status.
St Peter's enjoys a close relationship with the neighbouring parish of St John's, Shenstone, with whom we share a vicar, the Revd Fred Olney. Some joint services are held.
For queries about weddings, baptisms and funerals please contact the vicar. Our vicar also regularly takes funeral services, held either in the church or at the crematorium. St Peters churchyard is open for full burials or burials of cremated remains. Requests for these are made via the vicar.
We hope you will come to St Peter's Stonnall and look forward to meeting you soon.
